online lessons

Why Online-lessons?

There are different styles and schools in the shakuhachi world. If you are interested in learning the Hijiri-ryu style and there is no teacher in your area, I will be happy to provide Online-lessons.
I have a personalised approach to teaching and I always start with a test-lesson to see if works for both of us.

How do Online-lessons work?

All you will need for online lessons is a computer or a tablet with a good internet connection, a free Skype or Zoom software which you can download from the website, a web camera and a microphone. Many computers have built in webcams and mics, but if not, they are easy and inexpensive to purchase separately.

You make appointements for the lessons at your own pace (once every three weeks, for example, can be a good rhythm) and you can choose the duration of your lesson between 45 min, 60 min and 90 min. All the teaching material is sent digitally and you get links to specific recordings for students. In addition, they are a lot of practice recordings of our repertoire on this website.
