My name is Hélène Seiyu 聖 優 Codjo and I am a shakuhachi teacher and performer. I live in The Netherlands.

I studied shakuhachi with Daniel Seisoku Lifermann in Paris (La Voie du Bambou) and with Fukuda Teruhisa, founder of the ensemble and school Hijiri-Kai.

In January 2013, I received the Jun Shihan license with the name Seiyu 聖 優 (Holy kindness) from Fukuda Teruhisa. In November 2015, he awarded me with the Shihan license (master).

In 2021 I created a Virtual Shakuhachi Dojo on Patreon.
