Daniel Lifermann studied the shakuhachi with Franck Noël, Iwamoto Yoshikazu (1989-1997) and Gunnar Jinmei Linder. He has been teaching the shakuhachi since 1988.
In 1994, he created the French association “La Voie du Bambou”, based in Paris (France), in order to promote the shakuhachi.
In 2000, he met Fukuda Teruhisa and started to organise workshops and summer classes with him. In 2008, Fukuda Teruhisa awarded him with the Dai Shihan License, with the name Seisoku (breath of wisdom).
